The Fairway Golf Society

Tuesday, April 26, Crystal Bay – Monthly P.A.G.S. Tournament

It was another great turnout for our 4th monthly P.A.G.S. tournament of the year.  Eighty-six golfers competing for the many prizes on offer and overall points for the year in three divisions today plus a ladies div. with the cut off at 0 to 11, 12 to 17 & 18 to 28.

Although the skies were overcast and there was a threat of thunder storms all day, the weather held off and we managed to finish without anyone getting wet.  The course was in good condition and the competition was fierce with many golfers shooting sub-par scores.

In divisions 1 & 2, second places were decided on count-backs. The winner of division 1 was Richard Line with 40 points but unfortunately for him he had to dash straight off to the airport for his flight back to the U K, so he missed the prize giving and the excellent barbecue laid on by the guys back at the Fairways club house.  As usual the conversations and festivities went on well into the night.
