
PATTAYA, Thailand – The Mabprachan Golf Society took to Pattavia Golf Course on February 18, with four groups, eager to tackle one of their favoured yet challenging layouts. The course was in good condition, but as always, scoring remained difficult, making for a highly competitive round.
The battle for the top spot remained tight until the final two holes, where Tony Chetland made a crucial par on the 17th, securing his victory with 38 stableford points. Sam Jeffery put up a strong fight, finishing as runner-up with 36 points, edging out Sam Gettinby on countback. Meanwhile, Mike Malott took home the dreaded spoon.

On Thursday February 20, the round saw a lower turnout, possibly due to Mountain Shadow Golf Course’s demanding layout. Nonetheless, those who participated faced a true test of skill. It was also a welcome sight to have Seamus O’Connor back in the mix.
Bob Edwards handled the course best, showing solid control to claim victory with 33 stableford points. Mick Bryan followed closely behind, finishing second with 32 points. Meanwhile, Keith Timmis took home the spoon.
