Tuesday, Oct 3 Pleasant Valley Golf Course
On a wet Tuesday morning following a rainy night, the Mabprachan Golf Society ventured to Pleasant Valley with some trepidation regarding the course conditions. The fairways were off-limits to carts due to the wetness, adding an extra layer of challenge to the day. To our surprise, the blue tees, our customary choice, were combined with the black tees, intensifying the difficulty level. Despite these challenging circumstances, Max Gordon Vroom and Paul Davies displayed commendable skill.

Max Vroom emerged as the standout player of the day, scoring an impressive 33 stableford points. Paul Davies secured the runner-up position with a solid performance, accumulating 31 points. The near pins were claimed by Ian Waddell, Allan Cassin, Mark Bromwich, and Dave Lea, showcasing their precision on the challenging course.
Max Gordon Vroom (16): 33 points
Paul Davies (30): 31 points

Thursday, Oct 5 Treasure Hill Golf Course
Thursday’s golf escapade was scheduled for Treasure Hill, utilizing the last of our vouchers. However, a combination of inclement weather and personal commitments kept most golfers at home. Despite the low turnout, Allan Cassin and Mark Bromwich braved the elements and enjoyed a leisurely round, details of their results left to the mysteries of the course.
