IPGC Pattaya Golf Society at Rabbi’s Elephant Bar

The Pattaya Golf Society travelled to the excellent facility at Khao Kheow on Monday, 11th July to play a stableford competition on the B and C nines.  With the fairways still soft after many wet days the course was to play long with very little run off the yellow tees and the long hitters in the field were to head the lists at the end of the day.  The greens were deliciously quick also.

In third place with 35 points was Stuart Thompson, accuracy being the hallmark of his game.  In second place was Ronnie Ramsay with 37 points, his front nine of only three over par for the course being a huge feature of his card.  The winner was Masanori Takano whose 41 points was an outstanding effort and his middle eight holes saw him play one under par for the card.  It was little short of magnificent in the still and humid conditions.

Masanori also had the bonus of a birdie ‘2’ on the Island Hole whilst Haruyuki Kato also birdied B3 to share the ‘2’s pot.  However all the plaudits were reserved for Masa after a sparkling round of golf at Khao Kheow.
