It was not a large turnout that departed The Swan but all were ready for the day’s challenge at Crystal Bay.
We played C and B Nines in that order from the yellow tees and the course was reportedly in bad shape and in need of a fair amount of work. This is somewhat of a disappointment to us as in the past Crystal Bay has always been a favorite for Growling Swan golfers.
It was Mashi along with Rudy that had the best day out, both returning with net 69s but Mashi was declared the winner via the count-back system. Coming in third was James Wilks, (better known as Bear) who is enjoying some good golf at the moment. Fourth, fifth and six were all sorted by the count-back system, with Paul Sharples (who kindly donated the winnings to D-For) JJ Harney and Graham Laurie finishing in that order.
