Treasure Hill was the challenge on Friday with the green fee, caddy & cart only costing 1200 baht in total, and with the 331 all clear of roadworks the only obstacles in front of us were the trees in the middle of the fairways.

We had 21 players today, which reflected the very good cost, although we also had 2 no-shows from Liverpool who had stayed up all night to watch the football and then celebrate afterwards!

The first 3-ball of Phil Davies, New & Nim had no-one in front and as expected they flew round in less than 3hrs 30 mins.  Nim did ok with 34 points but Phil and New should have taken a little more time and maybe they would have scored better.  Mind you, the next group of Paul West, Geoff Kubas & Nigel Harrison took plenty of time but never worried the scorers,

Then the next group of Ray Fowlis, Darren Boyle and the Donkey were not in sparkling form either but the golden oldies showed a few flashes of brilliance.  Then came the Vikings group of Christen, Mogens, Brian & Allan and today the Norse king was Mogens with a best of the day 36 points, with Christen floundering on just 25.

The Aussie group of Maurice Roberts, John Coey, Larry Hadley and pommie Mick Coghlan saw Mick coming out on top with 33 points, and the final group of Steve Truelove, Dave Edwards, Ed Wyckoff & Peter Blackburn had Steve who top scoring with 35 points.
