Sunday, June 11, Green Valley – Monthly Medal

1st Mogens Melander (18) net 74

2nd Kris Kritsanajootha (8) net 77

It was a tough day at Green Valley for our monthly medal as the greens have recently been cored and sanded, although they are slowly getting back to their normal quality.

The player that handled the conditions best was Mogens Melander who put together a round of net 74.  As our readers and players know, Mogens will now go on to qualify for the gold medal comp slated for January 2018.  He also took home the lead crystal whiskey glass.

Kris ‘Kay’ as we all know him took second place with a net77.

Monday, June 12, Siam Plantation – Stableford

1st Marcus Earp (20) 35pts

2nd John Harrison (12) 34pts

Due to a late finishing party on Sunday evening, just a small field left Lewiinski’s on Monday to take on the always demanding Siam Plantation and found it in as fine a condition as can be remembered.

Golf manager Marcus Earp led the boys out and then led them back in as he carded 35 points to take the day’s honours.  John Harrison pocketed the second place a shot adrift.

Wednesday, June 14, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

1st Neil Vieth 33pts

2nd John Harrison (12) 33pts

3rd Steve Evans 30pts

Today we played Mountain Shadow where the fairways were in fine shape but the greens were very slow and in general the course is lacking maintenance.  It was also void of golfers and we only saw three groups all day.  The weather remained dry and very humid.

Neil Vieth was the man of the match with 33 points but Neil did need the aid of a count back over the unlucky John Harrison.  Steve Evans completed the podium with 30 points.
