It was a slow old round for the Backyard lads at Emerald last Friday, November 13.  With high season on the way we had the obligatory few groups with no booking turn up and try to push in at the first tee, but this time the starter held firm and whisked them away to the 10th.

With most of group delayed by a few drops of rain in Ban Chang it looked like it would be a very small turn-out, but the lost sextet eventually made it just in time.

The big winner today was Mr. Quiet, his 36 points being enough on the testing track and in sapping conditions.

The near-pin was won by The Impregnater, who has since departed to christen his latest sprog in the Philippines; at least he won’t be pining for Mrs. Incubator when he is with her.

the skins were well shared out with 6 to Mr. Quiet, 4 to the ever improving (well, relatively speaking anyway) Mr. Yak, 3 to The Impregnator, singles to Irish John, Dan the Diet Whiskey Man and Gavin the Forklift, and we have 2 rolled over to the next game.

We had a very touching boo cuddle on the 18th tee with the temporarily departing Secondhand Bob.
