The October Diana Seniors and Ladies Open
It was a day without rain for the October Diana Seniors and Ladies Open at Pattaya Country held on Thursday 28th. This month we had 28 taking part and welcomed some new faces; Bill Bertram, Hans Nygren, Lasse Laks and two Thai ladies Yupa Chaipanya and Rung Myer. All arrived and registered well before the tee time of 0900.

The course whilst a little wet in places – carts were allowed on the fairways but it was another ‘pick and place’ day. Clearly with all the rain some bunkers were flooded but most of the course was in a reasonable condition – although the greens are giving regular PCC players cause for concern.
Ladies winner this month was Pimusa Tonkhoksoong (13) with 39 points while the runner-up was Yupa Chaipanya (19) with 36 on count-back from her friend Rung.
The Seniors winner was new face Lasse Laks (18) with 39 points ahead of Bo Engstrom (11) with 37 in second spot.
It was two PCC members toping the Super Seniors with Chris John (21) winning with 38 points – and Barry Chadburn (20) with 36 coming in as runner up.
Near pin prizes were picked up by Lasse Laks, Sven Sjoquist, Arthur Bailey and Pimusa Tonkhoksoong, while the longest drives were claimed by Alan Pearce and Bengt Borg.
All scores from this event are submitted to Pattaya Sports Club.
The November Diana Seniors and Ladies open is on Thursday 25th at Pattaya Country Club with a tee time of 0900. This is the last one of this year. Sign-up sheets are at the Diana Green Bottle 2nd Road and the Diana Driving range.
