The inaugural Ocean Marina Yacht Club and the Ocean Property Company Boat Show, is about to cross the starting line, to use a nautical expression. At the splendid and expansive Ocean Marina facilities at Najomtien, some 10km from Pattaya, this huge boating extravaganza will be held from Friday, 23 until Sunday, 25 November, 2012 on location at the marina.
With much support from the burgeoning Pattaya-Jomtien property and real estate sectors, yacht racing, cruising and water sports in general are undergoing an exponential surge along the east coast. Thus, the Ocean Marina Boat Show, the first of its kind ever held on Thailand’s Eastern Seaboard, will feature three days of a marine life-style, a display of yachting and cruising excellence and a show-case of the most sophisticated equipment, aimed at promoting access to the beautiful coast-lines to everybody.

Veteran Gulf sailor and the driving force behind marine developments in the area, William Gasson considers the Boat Show as a logical step in furthering the interest of the population in ALL marine activities. It is, in fact, an annex to his own most successful annual event, the Top of the Gulf Regatta, held each April-May, also at the Ocean Marina.
Entry to the Boat Show is free and open to one and all, to come by and see the displays of yachts, power boats, luxury cars, fishing accessories, wind-surfing and scuba diving hardware, to mention a few of the exhibits.
Throughout the vast water-front expanse of the ocean Marina, there will also be food fairs, beer gardens and a myriad of fun activities for all the family, including a dragon boat race and ongoing product demonstrations.
According to the leading maritime journal, Sea Yachting, “There will be over 60 exhibitors on the marina foreshore, as well over 20 water-borne craft”.
For any so inclined, there will be test models available of such craft as kayaks and catamarans and even an opportunity to “climb aboard” a charter cruise during the evenings of the event.
All manner of marine accessories, including outboard engines, marine electronics, safety and buoyancy aids and every type of equipment required to be sea-borne, will be on sale from the exhibitors.
Come one; come all to the Ocean Marina, for a few days of family fun. And it is FREE!
