PSC golf from the Fairways Golf Society
Tuesday, May 31, Khao Kheow – Monthly P.A.G.S. Tournament
Considering the rain we had overnight and during the last few days, the course was in excellent shape – we were even allowed to take the golf carts onto the fairways. So another great escape from the weather as we only lost 20 mins play due to rain.
With well over a hundred golfers competing for the 29 prizes on offer today, it seemed that only the A flight and the ladies division were able to cope with the course and the conditions, as so many of the very large field struggled to play anywhere near their handicaps. But even though the course played so difficult, everyone enjoyed the challenge.

Back at the club house afterwards with everybody well sated on the wonderful barbecue laid on by the guys at the Fairways, it was onto the presentations with some old faces and a few new ones in the frame.

The overall leaders at this stage of the main tournament are Jack Bowman (Men’s) & Noi Emerson (Ladies).
Friday, May 3, The Emerald – Stableford
It was nice to welcome a few new faces today which bolstered the field and made it possible to have two divisions. The A Flight was won by one of them, Terry Dreier, with a tidy round of 36 points.
Ladies winner On Sudok (centre).
The B Flight should have been taken by Andy Crabb who had amassed 31 points over 15 holes and then somehow managed to scratch the remaining three and then to rub salt into the wounds find out he lost on a 15-14 count-back. Andy put it down to lack of concentration due to over indulging the night before.
Near pins went to NingNeal (2), Brian Neal and Andy Crabb.
