PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside
Tuesday, Nov. 6, Treasure Hill – Stableford
First to Tuesday when we travelled North along Hwy 331 to the testing Treasure Hill, with a light breeze our only concession on a hot day. The course is still putting the finishing touches to some approaches to greens, but with clearly marked GURs & drop areas to protect them, it won’t be long & they will be 100%.
With a steady 36 points, it was Jeff Wylie (6) leading the way by 1, from the improving Dave Edwards (15), who was beaten after missing a short putt. Willem Lasonder (20) with 30 points was the best of the rest, and was well pleased with third spot and a near pin on #6.

Dave picked up 2, (a nice birdie on #2), while Jeff got the remaining one on #17.
Thursday, Nov. 8, Mt. Shadow – Stableford
Thursday was a slightly longer drive to Mountain Shadow, again it was a hot day, with only a light breeze to take the edge off. While Treasure Hill is a tad on the long side, Mt. Shadow is the reverse, being well and truly on the short side, so with our policy of second back tee we played from the Blues at under 6,300yds. Despite its shortness the course has plenty of defenses, with tree lined fairways and undulating greens the most obvious.
Paddy Devereux (23) had a strong front 9 and hung on through the back to lead the way home with 33 points ahead of Jeff Wylie (6) who after a poor front nine battled back to finish with 31 points. Paddy also managed to pick up 2 near pins while Jeff & Clive each got one.
