PSC golf from Siam Country Resort
Tuesday, March 4, Pattana – Stableford
First to Tuesday, when we travelled up Hwy 331 to play 1 of the prime courses and facilities in the area, Pattana, with the A & B loops the allotted test. The course was in good condition, with fairways well grassed, while the greens were running smooth and true.
From the white tees, the A & B combination is probably the longest test we face at about 6800 yards for a par of 73. Bob Edwards (9) came to grips with the course best, scoring a solid 33 points, 20 of which came on the B course. Next best was Paddy Devereux (22) with 32, edging Jeff Wylie (8) on count back 16/15.
Near pins went to Sam, Neil, Bob & Willem.
Thursday, March 6, Pattavia Century – Stableford
Thursday saw us continue our trip up the 331 a little further to Pattavia Century, where from the white tees we had a 6600+ yard challenge. The weather was looking after us, with clear skies and a bit of a breeze, which was needed as the weather is starting to get a bit hotter.

It was Paddy Devereux (22) who stepped up to take the 1st prize with a fine 34 points, featuring a nice 2 for 4 on the par 3, 13th. In second spot was Graham Johnson (9) with 32 points, while Willem Lasonder, playing from his new handicap of 18, was a further point behind.
Near pins went to Bob, Paddy & Graham.
Note: Siam Country Resort, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd. After going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 metres, with the venue on the left another 200 metres along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
