‘Pattaya Color Run’ to raise funds for Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya

The Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya will raise money for its charity fund with a five-kilometer walk-run Jan. 18 at Big Buddha Hill.

Club President Vutikorn Kamolchote, former district Gov. Pratheep Malhotra and Pattaya tourism-promotion director Onwara Korapin met Nov. 18 to begin planning Pattaya Color Run 2015.

The event will include a two-kilometer walk and five-kilometer run from 8-11 a.m. at Chaloem Phrakiat Public Park.  Entry tickets for the walk will be 200 baht and 500 baht for the run.

Local authorities will supply first aid, ambulances and directional signs.  The day will also feature booths selling products, photography and assistance to the many expected to attend.

Planned activities include a “color power shower,” live music and stage shows, award presentations, and souvenirs.

Funds will go to help the Rotary club fund its initiatives for underprivileged children.
