Top cyclist will travel through Pattaya as part of the 2018 HRH Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup Tour in April.

International and Thai cyclists from around the kingdom will trek through Pattaya as part of the 12-city HRH Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup Tour.  The race, which is ranked a 2.2 event by the UCI, is held every year in April and is named in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn, who was born on April 2.

Chonburi Deputy Gov. Phawat Lertmukhda and Decha Hemkrasri, president of the Cycling Association of Thailand announced preliminary details of the April 1-10 race at Pattaya’s Royal Palace Hotel Feb. 12.

The bike tour will take cyclists 134.8 kilometers through Pattaya and its environs and will also include stages in Buri Ram, Chanthaburi, Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Lopburi, Nakhon Nayak, Maha Sarakham, Prachin Buri, Roi Et, Sa Kaeo and Saraburi.

Top city officials, including Mayor Anan Charoenchasri, police, military, hospital representatives, Sawang Boriboon Foundaiton volunteers and other organizations attended the news conference and will be preparing for the event.

Traffic plans will have to be organized as well as medical support and more. More details will be revealed in a future meeting.
