Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club
Just three Billabong groups played at Phoenix on Monday in perfect conditions for golf. You would think that with the rain we have had the fairways would be closed to only walking traffic, but no; the carts were allowed on the course as usual.
The course was in great condition with greens nice and fast, but friendly to putt on. No rain today and a nice clear sky until the last 3 or 4 holes, then the sky turned black. But we were all in and dry by the time the rain came.
There was a three-way countback for all the placings on 35 points. Brian Jacks came 3rd, adding to his win last week. Stuart Day came 2nd, the same as he did last week. Tim Knight took 1st place courtesy of his 23 points on the back nine.
Tim scored the only two of the day on the 16th, getting a two for five points.
