The Pattaya Tennis Association and Fairtex Sports Club brought together five city tennis clubs for a day of casual family fun at its 2015 Tennis Competition.

The Fairtex, KCT, We Love Pattaya, CAT Telecom Communications and Group of Tennis Association clubs served up the friendly matches Dec. 1-3 to mingle, exercise and improve their skills.

About 120 players participated in the competition, the eighth time it has been held.  The contestants were divided into pairs with combined ages totaling 80 and 100, and an open doubles bracket.

Fairtex supplied the courts and equipment where necessary.

For the third year running, the Tennis Association team won the trophy, which it will hold for another 12 months.  Fairtex made full use of home advantage to take the runner-up spot.

The We Love Pattaya Club was presented the “friendly flag” and will host next year’s tourney.

PTA President Tatchapong Katiwanitch said the annual competition maintains good relationships between tennis players and clubs.  He said over the past eight years he has seen the skill level of club tennis players improve markedly.
