A very festive group left the TPL in high spirits to take on Green Valley.  We had 22 players today so two flights were required and it was B Flight that produced the day’s top scores.

Taking the plaudits and man of the match honours was Bill Peach who carded a remarkable 43 points to finish 4 clear of Aussie star Gabriel Enright.  Nick Shaw took the third podium step and for some reason the golf manager added a further podium spot that was happily picked up by Trevor Lasowski with 35 points.

The senior flight found the going tough as three players were log-jammed on 35 points.  Franjo Blazevic occupied the third podium spot while Tony Oakes took second.  Standing at the top of the podium was Ian Palmer who had a day to remember as he took both near pins and had the day’s only 2.

Tuesday, Jan. 2, Bangpra – Stableford

1st Nick Shaw (21) 36pts

2nd Tim Knight (28) 32pts

3rd Eddy Beilby (23) 30pts

2’s: Johan Smedsjo.

A very quiet week due to it being the post Christmas & New Year period and probably a few sore heads as well. One player decided to start the year with a win that was Nick ‘Elvis’ Shaw who carded a fine even par round and a very good score on this course.

Nick was four strokes clear of Aussie starlet Tim Knight while Eddie the Eagle was in a trance as he picked up the third prize with just 30 points.
