Monday, May 12, Pattana – Stableford

The previous few days had been very hot and sticky and as we arrived here we were expecting the same today.  The A course is now open after renovation, which created a few smiles, so it was A & B as the chosen challenge and the cut in the two divisions set at 9-18 and 23 plus.

Lindsay Phillips returned the best score of the day, winning division 1 with 38 points.  Tony Bliss took second one point behind and Paul Renall claimed third with 34.

Friday, May 16, Eastern Star – Stableford

There was no game on Wednesday in respect of the funeral of Jean Morel and with numbers dropping drastically at this time of the year there were only 19 out today.

The cut was set at 8-17 and 18+ in the two divisions and Frank Kelly came in with 36 points to win Division 2.  The organizer took second, two points behind Frank, and Roger deJongh was third with 32.

Chris Voller topped Division 1 with 36 points, with Paul Renall in second one point behind, and Karl Flood was third with 34 points.

There were many comments after today’s round that the course is still improving every week. Chris Voller birdied the 3rd for the only ‘2’ in Division 1 while Rod Howett and Frank Kelly both get ‘2’s on the 6th to split the Division 2 pot.

Near pins were claimed by Wilf Latham, Roger Rees, Chris Voller, Roar Berger, Frank Kelly and Nobby.
