The Queen’s Cup ‘Pink Polo’ tournament will be held at the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club in Pattaya on Saturday, March 3.
Now in its 10th year, this much-loved ladies tournament is held annually as a completely charitable event, with players from many countries invited to participate and show their skills as well as raise funds for a commendable cause.
In addition to the sporting activities, Queen’s Cup Pink Polo provides a popular social side with guests and spectators enjoying activities for all the family, including games at sponsors’ pavilions, pony rides for children, a fashion show on horseback, kids’ polo lessons and a kids’ polo match.
Jointly organized by Nunthinee Tanner, the first lady of Thai polo and co-owner of Thai Polo & Equestrian Club, and Dr. Kris Chatamra, founder and director of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, the event stresses pink as the colour of the day with the clubhouse decked out in pink. Spectators are also encouraged to wear pink to show their support for the fight against breast cancer and make a 1000 baht donation at the entrance.
The event kicks off at 2.30 p.m. with guest registration and refreshments, followed by the fashion shows and children’s activities. The main polo match will take place between 5-6 p.m. followed by the trophy presentation.
