PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
Tuesday, May 24, Eastern Star – Stableford
On Tuesday we went to Eastern Star and although the course was in good shape generally, the greens were not all of the same quality. The weather was a bit cooler than the last few weeks, which made the game more pleasant.
We played with 2 groups and although the conditions were favourable for good golf we had no standout scores today. The winner was Neil Harvey (H/cap 15) with 31 stableford points ahead of second placed Jonathan Pratt (9) with 30.
Only two near pins were claimed, by Neil Harvey and Willem Lasonder.
Thursday, May 26, Burapha – Stableford
On Thursday we went to Burapha and played the C & D nines with 2 groups. The course was in good shape and the greens were running fast. The weather was again not too hot and we had a nice game with better scores today.
Jonathan Pratt took the win with 37 points while Paddy Devereux (20), just back from his Australian holiday, came in second with 36.
The near pin prizes went to Orn and Owen Lloyd (x3).
Note: Siam Country Resort Pattaya, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 meters, with the venue on the left another 200 meters along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
