Professional wrestling will hit Pattaya on Sat 22 December at the Pattaya Boxing World venue on Sukhumvit Road with a massive debut show organized by the fledgling Thai Wrestling Federation (TWF).  The event will be the first time live pro-wrestling has showcased on a large scale in Pattaya and will spotlight international professional wrestling talents in a rock concert like wrestling spectacular.

The fight night will feature over 2 hours of live pro-wrestling action suitable for all ages, showcasing a variety of exciting pro-wrestlers from around the world that will compete in an action packed 8-man tournament that will start to shape the rankings for the Thai Wrestling Federation.  The tournament will be a round robin competition, with the eventual victor being decided by winning three gruelling bouts in one night.

The super competitive field will feature wrestlers from Thailand – EK Baki and Ken Chan, Russia – Kat Koloff & Ivan “Locomotive” Markov, Australia – TNT, Ukraine – General Federoff, and Kurdistan – The Kurdish Tiger making it a truly international event.  The winner of the tournament will be the top ranked wrestler in TWF after this event, and will have the bragging rights of winning the first pro-wrestling tournament ever in Thai wrestling history.

Promoters of the Thai Wrestling Federation say that they will look to promote regular fortnightly events at Pattaya Boxing World based on the success of the initial events.  Promoter Greg Bownds commented: “The Thai Wrestling Federation is honoured to bring professional wrestling to the people of Pattaya.  We hope to build a great wrestling scene here for locals and tourists to follow.”

Tickets for the event are priced at Ringside VIP: 1000 Baht, Adult: 750 Baht, Child: 400 Baht and are available by calling 082 467 6757 or at Pattaya Boxing World Box Office or at Aramex Travel Office at Central Pattaya Road.  For more information go to www.facebook.com/ThaiWrestlingFederation.
