Tuesday, March 28, The Emerald – Stableford
On Tuesday we went to The Emerald with 3 groups and found a course in good condition with just a few wet spots around the greens. The weather was humid and warm.
We had no top scores today and Stan Rees (H/cap 24) played a consistent round to win with 36 stableford points. In second came Paddy Devereux (18) with 34 points.
The near pins went to Willem Lasonder, Stuart Banks and Sam Gettinby.
Thursday, March 30, Eastern Star – Stableford
Eastern Star was our venue on Thursday and we went there with 2 groups. After the big rain on Wednesday it was good to see the course still in fine condition. The weather was again hot and very humid.
Once again there were no high scores today. Our best man was Stuart Banks who took the day with 35 points. In second was Stan Rees with 30 points, beating Jonathan Pratt and Willem Lasonder on a count-back.
Near pins were claimed by Stuart Banks and Jonathan Pratt.
