Monday, Nov. 19, Bangpakong – Stableford
It was off to our favorite – the Bangpakong Riverside course up route 7 for a little bit over an hour. Despite being a sport day, the course was very quiet enabling a 5 minute early tee off under overcast skies with a light breeze, which stiffened as we made the turn. The course is probably the best maintained in the area, not a blade of grass or a grain of sand out of place.
back in the clubhouse after a round of less than 4 hours, welcomes went out to Rita Zoebelli, Kai Aablink from Denmark and Martyn Topham, back for the winter from Canada.
Two flights today with the cut at handicap 19 and 4 assorted pins. Don Richardson won the A Flight with the best score of the day, 44 points. Arne Max Pedersen was second on 41 points, Tore Eliassen third with 38 points and Maurice Herberg took fourth on a count back from Henry Wong, both on 37 points.
Mick O’Connor took the B Flight with 41 points ahead of Jan Lovgreen in second on 40 and Daryl Evans claimed third on count back from Martyn Topham (fourth) and Graham Buckingham (fifth), all with 38 points.

Thursday, Nov. 22, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
Back to Pleasant Valley again this week and we teed off 20 minutes early under sunny and humid conditions with a brief shower late in the round. The course on the day was in fine condition but very wet from heavy downpours the afternoon before, making winter rules on the game a necessity.
We made it around in 4 hours and 25 minutes with a slow back nine. Two flights today with the cut at handicap 18 and a young man 75 years young won the A Flight as Don Richardson stormed home with 48 points (gross 74) and 1 year under his age. Ted Morris was second with a very good 44 points, Leif Kirkgaard took third with 42 and Arne Max Pedersen finished fourth on a count back from Chop Daprakhon, both on 40 points.
Joe Vandewegon won the B Flight with 42 points ahead of Tom Cotton second on 41, Graham Buckingham third with 40 and Dave Richardson fourth on 37 points.
