A good new year to one and all! On a sad note I lost a golfing pal on Dec 28, Roger Kidd, died in BPH, from heart problems, very sudden and very sad.
Green Valley seemed to be the easier of the two courses this week looking at the scores. Rick Culley and Koji Yamada posted 39 and 40 points respectively to win the A and B Flights with Gordon Kerr and Kevin Hamilton both finishing as runners up on 37.
Captain Bruce had two ‘2’s (must have been the red off tees), well done old yin, and Dave Hester did the same to share the pot with John Murdoch, Kevin Hamilton and Phonsie McGahan.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Graham Beaumont had topped the A Flight at Mountain Shadow with 33 points to finish two clear of the chasing pack and Rick Culley had got his first win of the week with a 35 point haul in the B Flight this time.
Les Hall, Dave Hester, Barry Pussell, Vincent Smyth and Bruce Tollitt split the ‘2’s pot there.
