Riders set for Pattaya Mountain Bike Challenge 2013

Cross-country riders will kick up the dirt on Pratamnak Hill at the Pattaya Mountain Bike Challenge this coming weekend.

The May 11-12 contest at Pratamnak Park organized by the Pattaya Bicycle Sports Club and Burapha University is aimed at making mountain bikes more popular with Thai youths, leading to good health and productive use of their spare time, Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh said at a May 3 planning meeting.

Contestants will be split into 18 brackets with a 6.5 km. track.  Entrance fee is 300 baht (free entry for under 18 and over 60 years of age) which includes free drinking water and lunch.  For registration, contact Manot 081-3155773 or Supot 086-1460146, or sign up at 8 a.m. on race day.

Carried out in partnership ith the Royal Aeronautic Sports Association of Thailand, the contest will award a HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak trophy to the winner.  The event is part of the 2013 Air Sea Land Games being held throughout May in Thailand.
