RIP Clint Pingree

Clint Pingree was only 52 years old and new to the game of golf, only having taken up the sport two years ago.  Following in the footsteps of his brother-in-law, Chris, who started playing with the Outback a year or so earlier, Clint’s first game with the Outback was on the 31st October 2011, strangely enough at Khao Kheow, playing off a handicap of 32 and scoring 11pts.

He was however very keen to play and was working hard to get better at the game he took up late in life.

Clint especially loved his golfing trips to Thailand and enjoyed many fun days on the area’s golf courses with the many new friends he’d met in the Kingdom.  Returning a year later, his game had improved enough for him to record his first tournament win in Thailand at Green Valley on 16th Nov 2012, where he shared the best score of the day with his brother-in-law, Chris, both with 39 points – a long way from his 11pts just a year or so earlier.

A lifelong resident of Sacramento California, Clint is survived by his mother Eleanor and sisters, Carol & Gail.

May you rest in peace Clint!
