Monday, Nov. 13, Greenwood – Stableford

1st Yasuo Higuchi (17) 38pts

2nd Jim Cooper (16) 36pts

3rd Alastair Anderson (15) 35pts

On Monday the TRGG visited Greenwood and the 29 golfers who played would have been slightly disappointed with their results as only Yasuo Higuchi shot above his handicap with a fine score of 38 points to take the day’s top prize.

Jim Cooper’s round of 36 points showed how dangerous he can be faced with long very wide fairways while third place was won by Alastair Anderson with 35 points,

Tuesday, Nov. 14, Pleasant Valley – Stableford

1st Louis Flanagan (15) 39pts

2nd John O’Donoghue (18) 39pts

3rd Freddy Starbuck (12) 38pts

Something must have been in the pre-round drinks today as 14 of the 21 golfers managed to score 30 points or more.

The winner of the day came in the shape of Louis Flanagan who also scored 39 points and edged out John O’Donoghue on count-back.  Freddy Starbeck’s recent good form continued with his 38 points taking third place.

Wednesday, Nov. 15, Pattana – Stableford

1st Mike Lam (22) 40pts

2nd Demon Wong (18) 39pts

3rd Louis Flanagan (14) 38pts

The beautiful Pattana golf course was the destination on Wednesday and Mike Lam’s 40 points saw him taking away the day’s top prize.  In second place one point back came Demon Wong while Louis Flanagan’s good run continued with his 38 points taking third.

Thursday, Nov. 16, Green Valley – Stableford

Division 1

2nd Mike Sanders (05) 37pts

3rd Jeff Clohesy (13) 36pts

Division 2

1st Ted Senior (16) 40pts

2nd Mike Lam (21) 39pts

3rd Peter Mcginty (23) 38pts

The man to take gold today in the top flight was Seil Peter with a fantastic round of 39 points.  His front 9 of 24 points blew the rest of the field away.  In second place came the man with the model swing, Mike Sanders, and completing the podium in third was Jeff Clohesy with an even par round.

Ted Senior’s form has recently been picking up and on this day he hit the jackpot, 40 points and top place in B flight.  Mike Lam, whose golf has reached a new high this week, shot 39 points for second and Peter McGinty was third a further point back.

Friday, Nov. 17, Burapha – Stableford

Division 1

1st Seil Peter (09) 40pts

2nd Louis Flanagan (14) 37pts

3rd Roger Brocksopp (14) 35pts

Division 2

1st Bruce Berriman (18) 42pts

2nd John O’Donnoghue (18) 39pts

3rd Michael Law (18) 32pts

Burapha was the destination as 38 golfers made the short journey up “the 7”.  In division 2, Bruce Berrimen shot a stunning 42 points and this saw him cruising to take the top prize of the day.

There was no stopping Seil Peter in the top flight as he bettered his score by one from the previous day, despite being off a lower handicap.  His 40 points gave him his second victory in 2 days and continued his winning streak.

Saturday, Nov. 18, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

1st Paul Durkan (09) 35pts

2nd Mike Rushant (13) 34pts

3rd Billy Allan (20) 34pts

Few golf courses can boast a tougher final five holes than the ones at Mountain Shadow and any score close to a player’s handicap is always seen as being a good round of golf.

The winner of the day was Paul Durkan with 35 points and despite not beating his handicap this score reflected a really good round considering the heat and the difficulty of the course.
