Regents International School Pattaya was proud to host the 2017 Senior Invitational Tournament that drew 10 schools from the SE Asian area to compete in football and basketball over the weekend, Feb. 4-5. Participating teams came from 5 nations including Nepal, China, Philippines, Malaysia and host country Thailand.
The tournament, in its eleventh year, was played in a competitive spirit and showcased the reasons why team sport is such an essential part of a young person’s education.
Regents PE Department, led by Roslyn McConnell, pulled out all the stops to ensure the event progressed smoothly with their superb organisation.
Winners of the various sports and categories were as follows: Girls’ Basketball 1st The International School of Penang (Uplands), Malaysia, 2nd British International School of Phuket, 3rd St. Andrews International School Bangkok. – Boys’ Football 1st British International School of Phuket, 2nd Regents International School Pattaya, 3rd The International School of Penang (Uplands), Malaysia. – Girls’ Football 1st The International School of Penang (Uplands), Malaysia, 2nd British International School of Phuket, 3rd Regents International School Pattaya. – Boys’ Basketball 1st International School Eastern Seaboard, 2nd The British School Manila, Philippines, 3rd Regents International School Pattaya.
