Sunday, June 25, Green Valley – Stableford

1st Paul Sharples (16) 39pts

2nd Christian Boysen (17) 39pts

3rd Don Lehmer (22) 39pts

The week started at our regular Sunday venue Green Valley.  The weather was dark with the threat of rain as we left Lewiinski’s but fortunately it did not materialize.  The course is showing signs of improvement with the fairways getting better, but the greens still need a little more time.

Bearing in mind the conditions, it was a surprise to see some fine scores with three players locked on 39 points.  Paul Sharples emerged from the pile-up as the count back victor with a back six 14 points to edge Christian Boysen, who had a back six of 9 points.  Filling the podium was Don ‘the ladies’ man’ Lehmer with a back 9 of 17.

Wednesday, June 28, Siam Waterside – Stableford

1st Kato (18) 32pts

2nd Mogens Melander (16) 32pts

Siam Waterside offers slick greens, tight fairways and abundant water hazards and the course continued to level out the playing field for our outing here as no player managed to get to their handicap.

Kato shared the man of the match honours with Mogens Melander, both tied on 32 points and after the divots had settled it was Kato who got the count back verdict with a back-nine score of 18 points to Mogens back nine tally of 16.
