Sunday, April 24, Silky Oak – Stableford

1st Nick Shaw (17) 41pts

2nd Iain Jones (24) 40pts

3rd Christen Boysen (11) 39pts

Today there was a big comp on at St. Andrews so everyone was shunted over to play Silky Oak.  The only problem was that knowing about the big comp they thought it best to holitine and sand the greens at Silky Oak just 2 days before.  The mind boggles sometimes.  Still, we were there and teed off right on time at 9.00 a.m. with three 3-balls with no one in front.

The first group of Phil Davies, Iain Jones & Lawrie Boyle set the early pace with ‘Top Gun’ Iain producing a sparkling 40 points followed by Phil with 35 and Lawrie 31.

The next group consisted of Christen Boysen, Torben Lindgaard & Mogens Melander and it was no surprise after getting a shot back that the leading Viking was Christen with 39 points, closely followed by Mogens’ 38 while Torben finished on 33.

Nick Shaw was the clear leader in the final group with 41 points to take the overall win while of his playing partners, the Donkey had a good back nine with 20 points and Rusty had a day to forget.

Wednesday, April 27, Pattana – Stableford

1st New Satita (33) 45pts

2nd Christen Boysen (11) 43pts

3rd Torben Lindgaard (28) 38pts

We had a fair group of 14 players today considering the heat, but it was the turn of the Scandinavians to show that they can stand the temperatures, with the queen of the Vikings New Satita yet again sweeping the board with an incredible 45 points and hubby Christen close behind with 43.  The bosun of the longboat, Torben Lindgaard, rounded out the flight with 38 points and the other Viking in the same group, Mogens, finished with 34.  The rest of the field were all in the low 30’s.

The near pins were claimed by Thomas Radzinski & Torben Lindgaard and the long putt by New Satita.
