Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
Tuesday, March 21, Pattavia – Stableford
On Tuesday we went to Pattavia with 3 groups. The course was in quite good condition and the greens were difficult as always. In the morning the weather was a little bit cloudy and nice, but later it got hot again.
We had no top performances today, only one good score for Jonathan Pratt (H/cap 10) with 39 stableford points. In second was Stan Rees and third spot was filled by Sam Gettinby.
The near pins went to Sam Gettinby, Dave Smith and Paddy Devereux.
Thursday, March 23, Crystal Bay – Stableford
Crystal Bay was was our venue on Thursday and we went there with 2 groups and played the B and C courses, which were in reasonable condition but there were many bad spots on the fairways. The greens on the B-course were fast and on the C-course a little slower while the bunkers didn’t have enough sand in them. The weather was quite warm but our second group ended their round in a big rain shower.
The man of the day was Dave Smith who won with 42 points. Jonathan Pratt came second with 34 points and Stan Rees was third with 31.
Near pins were claimed by Willem Lasonder, Dave Smith and Stuart Banks.
