Well not a great crowd numbers wise but the “Dirty Dozen” were out to conquer the Mountain. Being a Public Holiday we were prepared to pay holiday rates as per what we were quoted. What a nice surprise we got when they decided to charge normal rates.
We played from the white tees which proved to be the right as we invoked the ‘pick clean & place’ ruling. The course was in tip-top condition, the fairways (if lucky enough to land on them) were near perfect and the greens played true.
Glenn Smith stood out from the throng, returning an excellent score of 40 points to take the win. Buffalo Bill Steinmann came in second by the shortest of margins and then Shane Young claimed third spot on a count-back, keeping Glenn Henriksen and Rudy Regenass out of the winners’ circle.
