Today was our Monthly Mug Day and we had 39 brave combatants ready to take on the pineapple plantation, better known as Pattavia Country Club. There was not one complaint about the condition of the course, everything was spot on and even the notoriously slick greens did not rate a mention in the complaints department.
Today, with the numbers we had we were playing 3 divisions and the top flight saw Paul Smith return with a net 66 to take the win and the February monthly mug. Second past the post was Mashi Kaneta, with Keiichi rounding out the podium.
B Flight went to a count-back with John Hughes getting the nod over Keith Buchanan, both returning with net 73. Third spot went to Jayson Schembri only 1 stroke off the pace.
In C Flight Andrew Allen came back to the club house with a net 68, an excellent score but beware of the handicappers they will get you! Second in was Wan only one shot off the pace, a very consistent golfer who may also fall foul in the handicap department. Third home was “His Holiness, The Reverend” Dick Braimbridge.
