The Pattaya Golf Society (IPGC) at Rabbi’s Elephant Bar
A day’s golf at Emerald has a perennial appeal to Pattaya golfers and on Friday, 5th October, the Pattaya Golf Society left Soi Buakhao for a stableford round in Ban Chang. The course was undergoing serious remedial work in front of every green, a distance of up to twenty metres, full width, from the fringe being an assortment of various types of sod and sand. GUR was applied but the golfers suffered badly as a result of not reaching their destination in regulation.
It was a frustrating day and for the record the competition was won by Wichai Tananusorn with 34 points, with Seil Revels taking second on 33 and Jim Ferris and Jim Proctor sharing third with 31.
Mike Sim recorded the only birdie ‘2’ of the day, on the fifteenth. Unsurprisingly it was unanimously decided back at Rabbi’s in Soi Buakhao to give the “sods” at Emerald a miss next month.
