Soi Dog MVP Greg smashed a walk-off homerun in the last inning of the fourth and final game of the softball series on Sunday, June 3, giving his team a 12-10 win.  The final dinger was a fitting ending to a day of softball where it seemed to be raining long balls all day at Pattaya Sports Club Softball Sunday.

The day was a tale of two halves, as Sunrise Tacos led by infielder Ricky Z., outfielders Davey D., and pitcher John Stockton all had all the hot bats early.  The Tacos tamed the Soi Dogs in the first two games of the series, winning 14-8 and 13-3 respectively.  Stockton hit 2 dingers on the day, but it was the Soi Dogs whose bats finally figured out how to hit their balls over the fence, allowing them to stage a proper comeback.

In game 3 and 4 the Soi Dogs showcased homeruns from Greg, Rick H, an inside the parker by  Andy E., and 3 from their  centerfielder Diego.  The Soi Dogs were able to win the final 2 encounters 15-0, and 12-10, evening the 4 game series against the previous week’s winners Sunrise Tacos.

It was a great Sunday of softball, at the new and improved battle grounds, the Thai Polo Club for everyone involved.  We are still looking for a few more players to join us each Sunday from noon to four, and no experience is necessary.   Contact the Pattaya Sports Club, or email John ([email protected]) or myself ([email protected]) to find out how you can become a Pattaya softballer.  See you on the diamond!
