Anyone who has ever visited Thailand will be aware of the obsession Thai’s have with football. While the national team may never make it to the finals of the Asian Games or the World Cup competition, the enthusiasm the locals have for the game is incredible.
The Father Ray Children’s Home recently welcomed two Global Coaches from the English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur, known the world over as Spurs.
The two coaches, Ashton Blackwood and Shaun Harris, are based in Asia and train youth teams in Hong Kong. Together with sponsors AIA Insurance Co., they spent an afternoon offering tips, training and playing with the children.
This was their first time to Pattaya, and although it was pouring with rain when they arrived, the downpour was never going to stop play.
The two coaches are used to seeing talented players, and they seemed to be very impressed with several local players, including Neymar, Ronaldo and Messi!
