Friday, March 25, Green Valley – Stableford
We had no game on Wednesday due to the rain but the players turned out in force for our weekly visit to Green Valley on Friday with 31 in total making the trip.
Play was off the white tees and both Ian Colvill and Dave Strang recorded identical 39 point scores to win the A and B Flights respectively. Phonsie McGahan and Jim McGovern had to be separated by count-back for the runner-up spot in the premier flight, Phonsie just edging it, while Ben Findon was two clear of third placed Colin Gregg in the lower tier.
Dave Strang, Les Hall, Vincent Smyth and Phonsie McGahan all recorded ‘2’s to split the pot.
