Monday, Oct. 22, Khao Kheow – Stableford
The Pete Dye designed Khao Kheow country club A&B loops were the game today. A journey of 45 minutes and we got off the first tee 15 minutes early under sunny skies, with a nice breeze and very dry underfoot for the whole round. The course on the day was the best we have seen it in a long time with all re-sodded areas back in play.
It was a hot trek around in 4 hours and 20 minutes. I checked the temperature at the starter’s office and it was 35C in the shade so it must have been at least 38C out on the course.

Welcomes went out today to Tom Cotton, Tore Eliassen and Daryl Evans while we said goodbye to Capt. Stephen Cooper-Reade until January.
We had another bookend winner (first & last rounds) today as Stephen Cooper-Reade won with 40 points ahead of Dave Richardson in second on 39. Stu Rifkin came third on a count back from Mick O’Connor, both with 37 points, and Elias Magnusson took fifth on a count back from Niels Hansen after both finished with 35.

Thursday, Oct. 25, Bangpakong – Stableford
It was our longest trip of the month up route 7 for one hour and 7 minutes to everybody’s favorite – the Bangpakong Riverside Course. We managed to get off the first tee 10 minutes early under very sunny skies and hot conditions. The course on the day was the most immaculate around, great value.
Welcomes went out today to Kai Jalonen from Finland, working in Singapore, John Davis, Gordon Clegg and John Heer and wife Martha from Lancaster PA.
Gordon Clegg was the winner on count back from Leif Kirkgaard in second and Mikito Homma third, all with 38 points. Mike Winfield came in fourth on 37 and Ted Morris took fifth with 36 points.
