Last week saw the conclusion of the summer leagues with 16 different bowlers taking home some Coco Club etched glassware. The Sunday out of the hat pairs, where anyone may be drawn with the top 4 lady bowlers in Thailand, worked out to form with the ladies taking 4 of the top 5 places. So it was Alex, Sue, Ken and Pukky supporting the runner up Lek, with Thanom taking the top spot.
The Wednesday pairs went down to the wire with Bank and Margaret letting Dave and Ian snatch the title on the last week. Dan and Mook – Mook only started bowls 6 months ago – took third place.
The Friday triples saw a fight for third place and Lek, Pukky and yours truly just edged it from Dave, Kelvin and Sue. Ian, Thanom and Harvey came in runners up to the very solid league performance from Nok, On and Dan who took first place.
The new leagues start this week and new players always welcome – Coco Club is well sign posted near Phoenix Golf Club.
