The Backyard Golf Society
Another Friday and another round of golf with the Backyard Golf Society at Emerald Golf Course this past August 24.
On arrival at the course it was good to see no one waiting at the tee, which always seems to point to a round of golf with no hold ups. Seven players today with everyone in all competitions and we were good to go at just after 9 AM.

As mentioned before, the fairways are not in the best of condition but the greens are getting better and with only a few spots of rain everyone finished in good time to get into the club house for prize giving.
Martyn won the stableford competition with 32 points, just beating JJ by one. With all the rollovers from previous weeks, Terry C had a nice little tickle by winning nearest the pin and JJ took the rollover skins plus (6) more. Other skin winners were as follows: Terry C (4), Martyn (4), Bob G (2) and finally Dan M (2).
All finished and it was down the road for a few cold ones and help Martyn celebrate only his second win since the start of the society.
