Pattaya-area youths won 252,000 baht in prizes at the Pattaya Table Tennis Open.
Former MP Poramet Ngampichet, Pattaya Deputy Mayor Wattana Chantanawaranon and Sanga Kijsamrej, advisor to the Pattaya Business & Tourism Association, handed out prizes at the Sept. 29 tournament at the Eastern National Indoor Stadium.
Capt. Tirawit Khumbangli, secretary of the table tennis organizing committee, said the tournament was organized to develop sportsmanship in youths and encourage exercise.
Ronakit Eaksingh, deputy mayor of Pattaya along with city councilors present trophies and prizes to the winners in the 7 different categories.
Teams of two competed, with 210 teams taking part in total. First place in each category earned 30,000 baht, second place took 15,000 baht and third place won 8,000 baht.

Pattaya 906 3 Pattaya 904; Singles Under 12 – 1. Sitisak Nuchanadee 2. Chareonchai Desriburapakul 3. Napat Thammatikom; Singles Under 10 – 1. Wanchart Phitakkulsiri 2. Panyapran Atsathit 3. Sitisak Nuchanadee.
