Monday September 1, Pattana – Stableford

As we drive towards the course up the 331 the clouds in the distance look very threatening and as we pull into the clubhouse and congregate the conversations are shall we play today or call it a miss. In the end we check in with five groups. The A course is still shut, so we are allocated the B and C courses with a tough tee off for all on the first hole.

Ricko, alias Steve Richardson the Siam Cats lover boy, playing his last game with us comes in with 36 points to win division 1. Colin Phillips, also with his last game, comes in second three points behind and keep it in the family his older brother Lindsay finishes third with 28 points.

Colin Phillips & Alan Bissell.Colin Phillips & Alan Bissell.

In division 2 Alan Bissell wins the division with 30 points, Chris Reed is second one point behind and Glen Martin is third on 25.

We were very lucky with the weather today, there were rolling dark clouds moving in as the first group reached the 10th tee and a light drizzle lasted for 10 minutes, so we all continued.

Near pins: Div 1. Terry Madsen, Lindsay Phillips, Steve Richardson and Chris Voller. Div 2. Colin Phillips (2), Gill Phillips and Chris Reed.

In the two’s today a rollover to Burapha in division 1 but in division 2 Colin Phillips birdies B3 and Chris Reed B7 to split the box in division 2.
