Teens compete in Pattaya Youth Sepak Takraw Tournament

Teenagers from Pattaya schools won boxes full of trophies at the Pattaya Youth Sepak Takraw Tournament 2014.

Deputy Mayor Wattana Chantanawaranon presided over the awards ceremony Sept. 3 at Pattaya School No. 7.

The event was broken down in categories for ages 12-13, 14-15, and 16. Boys and girls competed separately. Winners received 800 baht for first place, 600 baht for second and 400 baht for third.

For the 16-year-olds boys, Pattaya School No. 6 took first, School No. 1 second and School Nos. 9 and 7 split third. The girls group saw, in order, school 1, 3, and 5 and 9 place.

In the 14-year-old group, School No. 1 placed first, School No. 7 second and School Nos. 6 and 9 third. For the girls, it was School No. 5 first, School No. 3 second and School Nos. 7 and 11 third.

In the 12-year-old boys group, School No. 7 earned first, School No. 9 second and School Nos. 8 and 1 third. The girls winners were schools 3, 9, and 1 and 8.
