Thai bowlers show good form in Langkawi

Half way through the 7-month training camp at Coco Club in Pattaya for the SEA games in Malaysia this coming August, and under direction of the new President – Major General Prapat Ekepho – the Thailand national team lawn bowls players were sent to Langkawi in Malaysia recently to compete for the annual Mahsuri mixed-pairs cup.

When the draw was made it included 74 teams from around South East Asia to play the week-long competition.  It is impossible to note on all the matches but at the end of the half way stage Thailand had 3 teams in the top 5 and by various stage awards: On and Tuk won the last 16 prize, Buss and Nid won the last 8 spot and in the end it was Songti and Yai who took the gold medal for Thailand with a great 14-4 winning score line and concluded an excellent training trip out.
