Thailand’s lawn bowls team returned home from the Asian Championships in Brunei with heads held high after amassing a total of 10 bronze and 2 silver medals as all 10 players – 5 men and 5 ladies – obtained at least one medal in their various categories.
The pinnacle was Tarn and Yung taking silver in the men’s pairs, just missing out to Hong Kong but putting them up amongst the best in Asia. This was followed by Tarn also taking the bronze medal in the men’s singles and Yung, Buzz, Go and Num also collecting a bronze in the foursomes.
The Thailand national lawn bowls team had a successful outing at the 11th Asian Championships held in Brunei from Jan 24 – Feb 1.
For the ladies it was On and Songsin taking bronze in the ladies pairs and Thong, Nok and Sue with the bronze in the ladies triples. It was all a great experience for a young team which included 3 local Pattaya bowlers, On, Thong and Sue.
