PSC golf from the Café Kronborg
Monday, July 9, Crystal Bay – Stableford
Stableford was the game on Monday and the Crystal Bay B and C loops were the test. We had an on time departure and a travel time of 45 minutes up Sukumvit to the course. Tee-off came under overcast skies with a stiff wind out of the south and the sound of thunder to the distant east for the whole round.
The course on the day, though not its former pristine self, was in playable condition with bumpy greens from being cored last month.
Back in the clubhouse after a quick round of 4 hours, farewells were given to Per Svensen and Jim Carrick.
Dave Richardson had a great day with 40 points to win ahead of Brian Saaterup in second on 39 and Peter Fagerlund took third on a count back from Takeshi Hakozaki in fourth, both with 37 points, while Mike Winfield placed fifth on 35.

Thursday’s outing to Plutaluang was cancelled before the players even left the Kronborg, due to the inclement weather conditions on the day.
