PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside
Tuesday, March 19, Greenwood – Stableford
This was to be our last week at ML, after more than 3 years playing from the Lake Mabprachan pub. Tuesday was a visit to Greenwood with the A & C combination our test of the day. We set out under threatening skies, with the rain holding off for the front 9, before sending it down in big buckets for the first 3 or 4 holes on the back.
There were a couple of withdrawals, as it was not real enjoyable for a while, but most soldiered on, however good scores were literally washed away with the downpour. Graham Briggs (25) had done enough to shoot 34 points, while Jonathan Pratt (17) pipped Yves Philibert (27) on count back 15/12 to settle the minor placings after both had 31 points. Graham also showed the way in the near pin hunt, which proved difficult on the day.
Thursday, March 21, Crystal Bay – Stableford
Thursday, our last day, was Crystal Bay with C & A again our allotted loop.

The course was in good condition and in a complete turnaround from Tuesday, the winning scores were outstanding. Jonathan Pratt (17) played somewhere near his previous form to score 45 points, while Owen Walkley (12) also showed some good form following a long spell of poor form to sign for 40 points.
Near pins went to Jonathan & George with 2.
Thanks to Keow & Ray for their support over the past 3+ years, providing golf as a service to PSC members and visitors in the Lake Mabprachan area. All the golfers join me in wishing them the best for the future, whatever path they may choose.
Our new venue is now the Rendezvous Restaurant & Bar on Siam Country Club Road. Similar conditions will apply at our new venue to Mulligans Lakeside, where we will play golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday, with Rendezvous hosting prompt presentations on both days.
