Tuesday, May 21, Green Valley – Stableford
Tuesday was a long anticipated return to Green Valley for many, with Low Season offering the opportunity for all to play there. The course was in good condition, and thankfully the weather was not as stiflingly hot as past weeks.
Today’s winner was Jonathan Pratt (15) with 39 points, ahead of Colin Quinlan (9) with 35, edging Jeff on count back 19/16. It was a game of highs & lows for Jeff, achieving the high of the rare feat of two Eagle 2s in a round, but hitting the wrong ball in a bunker for a disappointing low.

Thursday, May 23, Rayong C.C. – Stableford
Rayong Country Club was our venue for Thursday, with the condition of the course commensurate with the green fee of 300 baht. Good value was the consensus of the group, but a bit rough round the edges.
Jeff Wylie (7) shook off the disappointment from Tuesday to come good with a score of 37 points, well clear of Owen Walkley (8) with 31. Jeff & Owen continued the prize pillage, picking up the near pins available.
Note: Rendezvous Resort, Restaurant & Bar plays golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday, with the bar hosting prompt presentations on both days.
