PSC golf from Siam Country Resort

Tuesday, Sept. 24,Plutaluang – Stableford

First to Tuesday when we went to Plutaluang, with the West & East combo our test at a tad over 6500 yards from the white tees.  The course was in good condition, with the greens looking good, although a little on the slow side.  I think this is by design as the course gets a lot of player traffic and more close cutting could well be to their long term detriment.

Best score of the day went to Jeff Wylie (5) with a satisfactory but unspectacular 35 points, edging Jonathan Pratt (11) by a solitary point.

Thursday runner up Joel Flor with refreshment.Thursday runner up Joel Flor with refreshment.

Near pins went to Martin with 3, while Jonathan got the other.

Thursday, Sept. 26, Treasure Hill – Stableford

Thursday was a visit to Treasure Hill, where the course continues with renovation and maintenance of greens and approaches.  The fairways and rough are a little bit longer than usual, making the course a stern test indeed if you stray from the short and narrow.

Owen Walkley (15), who has been struggling with his game of late, shot what I considered to be a quite spectacular 36 points under the conditions to easily lead the field home.  Joel Flor (23) filled second spot with a satisfactory 32 points, while near pins went to Owen & Jeff.

Note:  Siam Country Resort, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 metres, with the venue on the left another 200 metres along.  Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.

As a PSC affiliated venue we welcome ALL golfers, including ladies & seniors who have opted for the “Silver” tee option.  Call 089 094 1841 for scheduling or enquiries.  Hope to see you there, cheers & good golfing!
